Hanging Instructions
PREPARATION
Ensure walls are dry, clean, and smooth. Remove old wallpaper and loose paint. No colour or surface contrast should show through the paper. Roughen painted surfaces with sandpaper. For best results, cross line walls with high-quality lining paper and let them dry fully before applying wallcovering.
PASTING
This is a ‘paste the wall’ product. Paste the wall and not the back of the wallcovering. Use a good quality, solvent-free, fungicide-protected, ready-mixed adhesive for non-woven wallpaper. Do not use self-mixed or multipurpose pastes. Apply paste evenly to the wall, covering an area slightly wider than the wallpaper width. Ensure there are no bare patches to avoid blisters under the wallhanging.
HANGING
Lightly mark the wall with a pencil using a spirit level or plumb line to ensure straight strips. It's crucial to align the first strip perfectly straight! Smooth down with a decorator’s brush, working from the centre to the edges to remove air bubbles. Carefully align the second strip at the top, matching edges and ensuring tight joints without visible gaps. Avoid squeezing paste out of the joints, and try to prevent paste from getting on the brush or roller.
IMPORTANT
Paste can damage the surface of the wallpaper. Carefully wipe off any paste while it‘s still moist, using a clean damp cloth. Because the wallpaper is uncoated, ink can come off slightly, so do not rub! This guidance is offered in good faith but without guarantee. The buyer is responsible for ensuring the site conditions are suitable for the wallcovering.
